There are no restrictions on length or form, but we are looking for poetry that is clear and honest.
In addition to poetry we would love to see some beautiful photos. Help to personalize and expand the look of the journal by sending in your pictures. Accepted photos will be included in future issues of Straight Forward Poetry, in addition to our social media and our blog posts.
Submit up to FIVE poems and we will return your submission with notes and edit suggestions. All five poems will be considered for publication in addition to the edits that you receive back.

Consider it an MFA for $10. It ain't a bad deal at all.
We will offer notes and edits on your chapbook of poems (less than 30 pages). If you have a specific goal for your chapbook (MFA work, publication, or just in search of general feedback) let us know in your cover letter and we will help you work towards that goal.
For those of you in need of a second set of eyes on a full manuscript of poems (30-75 pages) we will provide you with notes and feedback.

Let us know what your goal is and we will help you make steps in that direction.
Submit up to five pages of fiction and we will return your submission with notes and edit suggestions. If you have specific concerns or questions please make sure you note those in your cover letter.
